Identification

Size-up starts at dispatch. What vehicles are involved? Do you know where to access the ERG? What is an ERG? Where's the high-voltage disconnect? What are our seat assignments? All great questions — and we have the tactics to keep our members safe. Make the call. Book the training.

Lock the vehicle down and put mitigations in place to control the hazards — cribbing, struts, and isolating stored energy before anyone goes hands-on.

DyeNamics Extrication was founded by Captain Montana Dye — a Fire Captain in San Diego County, a California State Fire Training Instructor 3, a member of the California State vehicle-extrication curriculum cadre, an alternative-fuel-vehicle instructor, conference presenter, and community-college faculty member.
